3 Buku Baru yang Ingin Dibaca di Penghujung Tahun

Halooooo! Apa kabar? Karena temanya doa dan keinginan, aku mau bahas salah satu keinginanku tahun ini yaitu membaca buku-buku lanjutan dari seri fantasi kesukaanku yang sudah kutunggu tanggal rilisnya. Sudah memasuki bulan keempat tahun 2022, sudah banyak pula buku-buku baru yang dirilis dan beberapa dari buku-buku baru itu sudah aku baca seperti Daughter of the Moon Goddess, The Cartographer dan Smoke and Spell. Nah, meski sudah beberapa buku baru yang aku baca, masih ada buku-buku lain yang segera dirilis tahun ini dan ingin banget aku baca (dan ikut pre-ordernya meski tanggal rilis masih jauh). Kali ini aku bakal bagiin 3 buku yang bakal dirilis tahun 2022 ini dan ingin aku baca segera setelah mereka dirilis.

Fantasy Book Series Anticipated Releases

1. Silverborn : The Mystery of Morrigan Crow (Nevermoor #4) by Jessica Townsend

Silverborn is the fourth book of Nevermoor series, and this is one of my favorite middle grade series. This series follow Morrigan Crow, a girl who would be dead in her birthday’s night. Then someone said that she didn’t have to die, but she had to follow him to another world named Nevermoor and participated in the competition to gain the membership of the society. In this world, she went to school, met new friends, encountered enemies, unveiled mysteries, and went on a dangerous mission. In the fourth book, it’s said Morrigan will visit new places in Nevermoor to find the truth about who she really was. This book will be released on October 11, 2022.

2. Stellarlune (Keeper of the Lost Cities #9) by Shannon Messenger

The next book is the ninth book of Keeper of the Lost Cities series which will be released on November 8, 2022. Finally, the 9^th book! I miss everyone here especially Keefe! HOW ARE YOU KEEFE? This book will be around 800 pages long and I’m so excited because the cover shows our three beloved girls, Sophie, Marella and Maruca. And red is great colour to show off the amazing girls’ power!

If you don’t know what this series is about. This started by Sophie Foster, a child prodigy who didn’t feel fitting into this world because she could hear other people’s thoughts and she had photographic memory. Nobody could understand her even her parents. One day, a cute boy named Fitz came and said she wasn’t human and he would show her the place where she really belonged.

This is the book that got me out of my reading slump, and I gained unbelievable confident to read more than 2 books a month because this series made me binge-reading all the 8 books in only 2 months. It’s so fast and many things happened one after another, so it’s better to make reading journal to remember everything (and to make theories about many unrevealed mysteries).

3. Heart of the Sun Warrior (Celestial Kingdom #2) by Sue Lynn Tan

This is the second book in Celestial Kingdom duology by Sue Lynn Tan. I listened to the audiobook version for The Daughter of the Moon Goddess narrated by Natalie Naudus, and I love it!. This book is about Xingyin – the daughter of Chang’e the Goddess as well as the prisoner of the moon. Xingyin’s exinstence is a secret, but when the Celestial Kingdom felt unusual energy in the moon, Chang’e sent her daughter to another kingdom to save her. But Xingyin ended up stranded in the Celestial Kingdom and started her adventure to find a way to free her mother. So, the second book will be the closure of the danger and enemies she encountered in the first book, and the blurb mentioned about her adventure to uncover the truth. This book will be released on November 10, 2022.

Itu tadi ketiga series yang ingin aku baca di akhir tahun 2022, karena memang suka banget dan aku sudah menunggu buku selanjutnya dirilis terutama Stellarlune.
