Hello! Another project I’ve accomplished for 2020 is new year card. I got some cute new year cards couple years ago from my friends, that this year I want to send my own to them and to myself. I used to create and send things for myself, even I got Eid money from myself too lol. I like to save them in one place so that some years later I will come back to read or get surprised of the money I have there.

This year I sent my new year cards to some friends which replied to my update whether or not anyone wants new year card from me. At first, I wanted to write only a letter for them, but then I thought that 90% of them are living faraway, some are in other lands, so I changed the plan. I made extra cards too. The contents are really random. I used random picker online to pick certain keywords, color, and quotes for it. Then I randomly picked one from each card for each name.  I don’t know who gets the which lol. I want it to be a surprise for myself too.

It’s the first time I sent my own new year cards which I made and designed it myself. I also made the envelope myself (because I love to). I’m so proud of myself that I have accomplished this project without delaying it. I now see myself as someone who goes after her plans to bring it into life. A random message for everyone reading this blog post, if you used to see yourself as a lazy and incapable person, you can challenge yourself doing something new. It hasn’t to be something big, but as you are able to do it, you then build your confidence. You’ll see yourself as different person, you’ll see yourself as someone who has done something new. Honestly, I never made something like this before, even the lailiving 2020 journal is something new for me. I only go for what I want, for trying and learning.

I hope I will create and send more cards for 2021.

This is one of the cards I received from myself. The messages for this card are actually from Crystal Spirit Deck by Colette Baron-Reid. I love sending random messages for myself, sometimes I get some random messages stuck in my mind, that I’m able to write them into Weekly Message, Monthly Message or Today’s Message section for this blog. I hope the random messages I’ve gotten will be useful for other people by sharing them here.

Since I stick the envelope with double tape, I won’t be able to open it lol. I will open it 3 or 5 years later, maybe, haha.

Also, I'm happy that all the cards I've sent has been arrived safely (A friend even made an unboxing video in her instagram story too). Surprisingly the first one arrived was the one for my friend in Kalimantan, while the nearer place hadn't arrived yet that time. The most important thing is I have done something I wanted to do to spread positive messages.

How about you? Do you send new year cards too? Share yours in the comment box below

I’m getting ready for my upcoming project #MyKindFebruary. Are you going to join me? Please check this post for more details : Let’s Join #MyKindFebruary. I’d love to see you join this little baby project of mine (This is my first time doing this thing too, haha, I don’t know how it will turn out but I’m having fun in the process right now, so it’s a good sign for me).

#MyKindFebruary lailiving

Hello, beautiful people!

We are approaching the end of January, February is about couple days to go (since Sun has moved into Aquarius too, and tomorrow we have a new moon in the same sign, which both strengthen the February vibe for me). Because February is one of my favorite months in the year,  as I have tweeted before, I will hold a 29 day kindness project for the month of February.

(Kita sebentar lagi mencapai akhir bulan Januari, artinya Februari tinggal sedikit lagi.

We already feel that the recent situation sometimes makes us feeling uncomfortable, worried or scared. Through this small 29-day project, we will together do something good in order to shift the energy from the uncomfortable into better one. Everything is started by small things, so don’t ever think that your effort or your small baby step doesn’t matter. It matters. Everything matters. Your steps bring changes. Your good intention shifts the energy. You have the power within. Don’t hesitate to do the good, even though you are the only one doing this. As I wrote in my previous post about lailiving journal, my theme for January is freedom. Yes, this is the freedom, doing what your heart tells you to do, alone, is freedom.

"Everything is started by small things, so don’t ever think that your effort or your small baby step doesn’t matter. It matters. Everything matters. Your steps bring changes."

Okay. Basically it’s a project or challenge or move or anything you want to call it, to do kindness act in your daily life, for a month during February. It’s not about doing big expensive things which can be a difficult thing for some people. It doesn’t require money or buying something new. You simply need the stuff you already have in your home - and you have already had within yourself (in some days it doesn’t allow you to buy certain things). My intention for this project is asking more people to do good things, so I would be very happy if you are interested to join in.

If you are super busy, don’t worry, you can start anytime and do the stuff you are able to do. I will provide the #MyKindFebruary calendar and checklist in the end of this post.

I will also join in, since I’m the one who came up with this idea so I made it easy and fun enough to do it myself. I planned to make it as a twitter thread to make it easy to track. If you want to share your progress and thoughts through social media, you can use hastag #MyKindFebruary on your post, I will happily read them all and share/retweet them. Or if you are a blogger like me, you may post your thoughts and/or progress on your blog too. Don’t forget to reach out to me when you want me to read your post regarding this project. Also, you can post in any language you are comfortable with, but I only understand English and Bahasa Indonesia (sometimes Melayu) (I might be using google translate for any other languages).

Oh, also, I provided 2 versions for both calendar and checklist in pink and blue for both English and Bahasa Indonesia version. The pink one is made based on the title picture which turned out to be pink lol. For you who aren’t into pink stuff, you can choose the blue version which is looked more neutral. So, which team are you? Blue or pink? Share yours in the comment section below.

Okay, are you ready to allow yourself doing more good things?

See you on February 1st!

lailiving journal quotes

Hello! As I said in the previous post, December 2019 was a month full of inspiration and urge to execute everything inside my mind. One of them is this lailiving Journal 2020. I love to journal both using physical journal and digital ones. Previous journal I used were either lined or blank. I always wanted the dotted ones but even the biggest stationary store here doesn’t sell that kind of journal. There are many options when buying it online, but I feel like wanting to make it myself, add more pages and choose the color I want.

I drew nemophila flower as the cover. Actually it has the wrong flower color lol. A big note for the next lailiving journal on 2021 : to properly communicate with the printing service.

This journal is inspired by Nemophila flower aka Baby Blue Eyes. It comes in A5 size with 200 pages in 80 gsm paper. I planned to use 100 gsm ones but 80 gsm has already making it this thick lol.

Next pages are supposed to be intention setting pages, the big theme of the year, things I want to do, emotion I want to feel and bucket list. But, as I printed the sample pages before and tried to fill it, it didn’t feel like me. So I ended up skipping them and created the pages manually lol

The sample page which ended up being removed :

I decided to add this monthly themes to set what vibe I want to create each month. My January 2020 theme is Freedom. Walking alone in my own path is a freedom for me. Freedom is also my astrological aspect. As I always say about astrology, it’s more like an inspiration for me. I’m gonna embrace every positive aspect of it to be part of me.

The rest pages are dotted ones. I choose to not add tables or points (like those in common daily planner) to give myself so much freedom (again, freedom :D) to write here and there even draw anything without limits (that’s why the first plan to have everything in templates is ended up being cancelled). Even if sometimes I feel lazy to draw or even create lines, I’m always proud of what I have manually written / drawn on my journal no matter how messy it looks lol (this one is one of my best handwriting, so it could be unreadable when I have no motivation to write lol)

I’m the type who has too much random things popping inside my mind, so it’s easier for me to just jot down the ideas or plans by the week, then decide which one to be done in which day at the beginning of every week. So my style is more like Alastair in weekly version.

The only tracker which works for me. From my previous journals, this period tracker was the only one who ends up being fully filled for the whole year. For 2020, I didn't make any other tracker.

Overall, I’m proud of this journal as the 1st journal I made myself. Finally I can execute the ideas inside my mind without so much delay nor excuses to procrastinate. I will plan the next lailiving journal earlier so I have much time to print the samples and communicate properly to the printing service.

Also, I add a pocket to save anything related to this journal from this year.

If you are interested to print yourself the intention pages (which I’ve removed from the journal), leave the comments below, I will convert it into pdf and post the link in the next post. If you love this blog and get interested to donate, I’ll be happily accept it! I have both Buy Me ACoffee and PayPal accounts, you can use them, please feel free to message me if you get trouble using these services.

May the good vibes you have sent come back to you even bigger than you expected. Hopefully, 2020 will be a good year to make all of the dreams come into fruition. Remember that, like attracts like, good energy attracts good energy, every good things you send out will lead more good things to come into your life.

How about your plans for 2020? What theme did you set for this beginning of new decade? Tell me in the comment box below.

Hello! This is the last Monthly Highlight for 2019. I’m pretty excited to welcome the new decade, new fresh energy, new inspirations. I will continue creating new content to inspire and help more people. I hope this blog will be a source of inspiration for those who need it. May every good energy you have sent out will come back to you too, and awaken the positivity chain to trigger more good things happening in this world.

2019 is closed by the chill cloudy December here. If some areas are in winter season right now, finally I get blessed by rainy season which is supposed to be starting in October but yeah, universe delayed it until December beautifully. It’s not massive rainy season with huge rain everyday, it does rain -sometimes heavily- but mostly cloudy and chill -my favorite kind of weather. It’s not too hot, but not too wet so my clothes get dried well even though I put it under the roof. It’s a month which has most things to do in my journal. I have tons of ideas to be executed but gladly I am able to prioritize which ones first. I created some stuff too which make me proud of myself, yay.

1. JLPT

For the first time in my life I joined Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT), the last part was held in December. The main reason I applied for this is to organize my learning schedule, which has been messy and I couldn’t see significant improvements in 3 years. I’ve been learning Japanese on my own, so yeah without goals or target, I loosen my learning and make it too free that there are months I wasn’t learning at all lol. I took N4 level which I had never taken before, even N5 I never did it. So this was my first ever JLPT. The fun thing is I decided to join it on August. So I have less than 4 months to learn everything -even though in the end I couldn’t read all of my study materials, but I’m proud of myself that I can see the improvement in kanji memorization -my vocab hasn’t significantly improved though.

2. Book : The Hero (Rhonda Byrne)

I always love Rhonda Byrne’s books. Hero is the one which resonates with me much for this month. It’s about leading and claiming your own power as a hero of your story. I wrote a bit about hero in my previous post before reading this book which got me surprised later, that some messages she wrote here are connected to my post. There are so many sentences I quoted from this book to save it in my journal. One of them became my inspiration for my 2020 vision board.
The fun thing about her book is always answering my most recent questions. I was asking some questions related to my current job, and Hero answered them. Thank you!

3. Blog views

This month I made a sudden goal for fun to reach 14k overall views by the end of the year. You guys made it! Thank you! It actually surpasses 14k when it’s 3 days remaining for December. The night before I was thinking how it’s possible to reach 300+ more views in only 3 days. But a tiny voice inside my head said that there is nothing called impossible, stop overthinking then let it be as it is. It happened overnight. Big thank you to everyone who has interacted with lailiving, liking, loving, commenting, reading, and sharing. This blog has grown so much. I usually get 1000+ views per month but it’s doubled this month. I’m grateful that this blog could reach more people. The numbers are only numbers for people but for me it has energy. I appreciate any number I get, I’m happy that there are people who are visiting this blog.

"There is nothing called impossible, stop overthinking then let it be as it is."

4. Executed Plans

I’m proud of myself that I have accomplished my own plans (which used to be left un-executed) which are new year cards and journal. I made new year cards for friends and myself, I’m going to send them after holiday and new year vibe ending (holiday sometimes bring chaotic circumstance in shipping services). Also, I created my own journal for 2020. My green journal for 2019 has reached its end, so I made a journal myself for next year. I will post in the different entry about this journal. Overall, December was my most productive month that I’m able to create many things I’m proud of.

5. Learning and growing

We are humans who were born to learn and grow forever. For me, I always love learning -especially reading books- since my pre-school years. I pretended to be able to read dad’s newspaper and read it like newscaster I used to watch on the television -who I admired so much. By re-calling that enthusiasm and excitement I had during childhood days, I continue to learn in the middle of my roller coaster days lol. It’s only another message that if you find yourself unexcited to learn, please remember the very first reason you decided to learn it, remember your excitement as a child too. I’ve just realized it recently too, so it’s not too late to start learning anything. We might fail, but we learn from mistakes and keep growing time by time.

6. Playlist : 9inch Space Ship, Paprika, 27

Some songs I played during December are all available in Spotify globally -some of my favorite Japanese musicians have their songs region restricted, so it’s not possible to listen it outside Japan. 9inch Space Ship is a new song by Motohiro Hata (you might know him from Himawari no Yakusoku) which was firstly recommended by Spotify Release Radar. I’m falling in love with this song at the first listening. Beside it’s space themed song, the message resonates to me : If you can imagine it, you can make it come true.

Other version of Paprika by Foorin is the English one which came out first on December this year. The English version is performed by Foorin team E which consists of native English speaker kids. Like the original version which in Japanese, I always get moved by kids’ voices which sound so innocent, cheerful and pure. This song is like reminding of my childhood years too where I danced and moved freely without fears and baggage. My most favorite lines of this song are : We can make our dreams come alive. Come and count with me all the happy things, so much joy you always bring.

27 is a song by Nishino Kana. A friend recommended this song for me since I told her about my worries about getting 27 next year. This song delivers a message for me that being 27 is not making you change scarily you can’t ever imagine. It’s a natural song for me which the first line told about how her friend one by one getting married and she becomes the oldest in her office. A cheerful song which makes me looping it non stop. I’m pretty sure that getting older doesn’t mean getting less productive and less creative. Getting older is adding one year to our physical age, but it doesn’t change who we are unless we decide to. Ages are not limit.
27 / Nishino Kana (Spotify)

I thought it would be the shortest Monthly Highlight ever because I use English for the first time in this section. But it turns out to be this long unexpectedly. I’m looking forward to 2020. In smaller practical picture, it might seem like other usual days, nothing seems special too. But, as I already feel the good energy 2020 would bring since the beginning of December, I’m willing to embrace any goodness and opportunities that 2020 offers.

So, happy new year! Welcome the victorious year with smiles and positivity. I believe we are getting better and better by time. May all your dreams come into reality. Never stop. Keep moving forward.
